The need is so great. We, all of us, could do more. Please consider sponsoring a child through the Upendo Orphanage or the Rainbow Center.
All children need love, but children facing unimaginable challenges cry out for our love in a special way. In Tanzania, so many of our children have no home or live in abject poverty for other reasons.
Some of Tanzania’s children find love at the Upendo Orphanage. Others are helped through the Moshi Diocese’s Rainbow Center placement service.
The Nuns in the Moshi Diocese maintain the Upendo Orphanage. They care for approximately 30 children. Some are infants. These children – Tanzania’s children, our children and, we hope, your children – lost their parents through neglect, disease or death. Some are handicapped. All can use your help.
The Rainbow Center finds loving families for children who have either lost a parent or parents or whose parents are simply unable to fully support them. The Rainbow Center is a non-governmental organization (NGO) responsible for HIV and Aids prevention, care and support. HIV/Aids has impacted some 16,000 families in the Moshi Diocese.
That one figure gives some indication of what we’re up against in Moshi. By the same token, however, it’s an indication of the many opportunities to serve God’s children. It’s a call to serve.
Better Living Conditions
Your sponsorship of $50 a month or $600 a year will help meet the most basic needs for these children – food and nutrition, better living conditions, a primary school education, and basic health. The things so many of us take for granted.
Your sponsorship will benefit the child you choose to support from birth to the age of 15 when your child will enter secondary school.
Please consider sponsoring. a child today! Help us help them. Help us to show them God’s love.
But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
– Luke 18:15-16
Train up a child in the way he should go. Even when he is old he will not depart from it.
